Connectivity services
- ADSL - Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) provides a faster data transmission down the traditional telephone copper wiring. Although ADSL shares the same copper wire as the voice transmissions, it uses a different frequency.
- Bluetooth - a form of wireless technology, only suitable for PANs (Personal Area Network). This means that the range that Bluetooth can typically reach is only a few meters.
- Short Range Wimax - WiMax (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is another piece of wireless technology that heralds a greater technological impact than Bluetooth. It has a faster rate of transmission and covers a larger area.
- Ultrawide Band - can utilise very low evergy levels at short range high bandwidth communications for a large amount of the radio spectrum. uwb transmissions don't, for the most part, affect the traditional narrowband and continuous carrier wave within the same frequency band.
